Brothers of Affliction

  • West End Performing Arts Center 945 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard Atlanta, GA, 30310 United States (map)

Brothers of Affliction is my favorite play in my canon of work. It takes me back to a time when I decided to stop being afraid of people's opinions about my work and just allow myself to tell the truth.

It is the story of the Owens brothers and how past hurts, lies, and secrets, come back to haunt them. Eldest brother Chris, has pretty much given up on life and now just lives to be the peace maker between his brothers and is trying to be a decent father to his son. Middle brother Shane has had his share of heartache and takes it out on everyone that he encounters. Youngest Tyriq, is just searching for love wherever he can find it. A bar fight leads to these three being stuck together for a night and all emotions bubble to the surface.

This show has been called the best play to hit Atlanta in years and has traveled to the Orlando Fringe festival and accepted into the D.C. Black theatre festival.

THIS SHOW IS FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY! STRONG LANGUAGE, VIOLENCE, AND SIMULATED DRUG USE.
